- Helps you stay alert and function highly
- helps you recover from each day especially if you’ve been killing yourself in the gym

Ultimately getting a good nights sleep should be an number one priority of yourself and part of yours daily routine!
I’m not gonna lie, I love sleeping in ! Most adults need between 7-9 Hours of good quality sleep every night!!!
If you are having trouble falling Asleep at night you might like to try these things:
- avoid your phone, computer, iPad or TV an hour before trying to fall asleep (I suggest you read a book instead)
- Try some natural calming drops on your pillow like lavender
- Don’t drink caffeine past 1pm each day
- Lower the room temperature in your room. Your body temperature changes as you fall asleep. Core temperature decreases. If your room is too warm you might have a hard time sleeping.
- Establish a regular sleeping routine
- Get some daylight during the day (get some sun when the sun is out!)
- Try meditation and mindfulness if you find it hard to switch off at night. ( I find that writing my to do list for the next day helps me feel less anxious when I’m trying to fall asleep).
- Don’t look at the clock, especially if you wake up in the middle of the night.
- Avoid napping during the day, especially in the late afternoon.
- Listen to relaxing music. (I have found the calm app and the track “Blue Gold” to be very helpful in helping me drift off to sleep when I’m having trouble).
- Exercise during the day.
- Make your bed comfortable and your pillow
- Try drinking a soothing beverage like Sleepy Time tea or camomile tea.
- Visualise things that make you happy
- Try sleep enhancing supplements such as: magnesium, melatonin, 5 HTP, Theanine, Valerian and lavender oil.
Heres to having a peaceful nights sleep tonight!
